Having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
The winner, Candy Burg (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous chase run at Southwell on 19 July 2020 where the gelding finished fourth of six runners, beaten by 47¼ lengths.

The Veterinary Officer reported that Jembug Drummer (IRE), placed sixth, lost both fore shoes and that Man Of The North (GB), which was pulled up, lost its left-fore shoe.
