At the request of the Stewards, R.P. Treacy, rider of Owl Creek Bridge, trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount had a blow at the top of the hill and stayed on in the closing stages
R. Deegan, rider of Be My Dream trained by J.R.Finn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right and jumped right
The Stewards interviewed D.L. Queally, rider of Coconut Tudor, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D.L. Queally was in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for two race days.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 80-102 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won. Riders - Confined to Professional & Claiming Professional Riders who have not ridden more than 10 winners under any N.H. Rules from 2nd May, 2021 to 28th January, 2022 inclusive. (Qualified Riders are excluded from riding in this race)
