The Stewards requested a report from Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Air Force Jet (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Brendan Powell, Authorised Representative of Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported that today's race was a lower grade than his charge's previous two runs and he is faster over five furlongs which is a more favourable distance and brought about an improvement in form.
