The Stewards interviewed John Neilan, trainer, concerning the reason why he had not nominated a rider for Hunters Song at declaration time, as required under Rule 195 (i). Mr. Neilan stated that he had difficulty in finding a rider for today as most riders he sought had commitments at a Point to Point meeting. He stated that Mr. E
Mahon had cancelled his commitments at that Point to Point meeting to assist Mr. Neilan. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to remind the trainer of his responsibilities in this regard
