The Clerk of the Scales reported that Mr Jerome Power, the rider of Power Home (IRE), unplaced, trained by Denis Coakley, had weighed in at 11st 2lbs having weighed out at 10st 13lbs.
The rider, the trainer and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed.
Mr Power was suspended for 1 day, on a date to be notified to him by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, for weighing in at more than 2lb overweight.
Being a 7lb claimer, Mr Power was accompanied by the trainer.
Mr Jerome Power, the rider of Power Home (IRE), unplaced, had appeared to stop riding approximately 1 furlong out, to be beaten 3¾ lengths for eighth.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Mr Power was suspended for 1 day, on a date to be notified to him by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished eighth.
Being a 7lb claimer, Mr Power was offered the opportunity to have someone accompany him in the enquiry, but declined.
Following the race, Mr Nathan McCann reported that Onomatopoeia (GB), unplaced, was never travelling.
