Julie Johnston (GB), drawn 7, jumped left-handed leaving the stalls taking Apache Jewel (IRE), drawn 6, off its intended line and causing Adace (GB), drawn 5, to have to be eased momentarily, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The winner, Adace (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with her previous run at Brighton on 12 May 2021 where she finished tenth of 13, beaten by 9½ lengths.
The representative of Mick Channon explained that Adace (GB) had benefitted from a break.
His explanation was noted and the filly was routine tested.
The performance of Apache Jewel (IRE), which started favourite and finished fourth, was considered.
Robyn Brisland could offer no explanation for the filly's performance.
