- Stewards Report
Permission was given for Jorvik Prince (GB) to go early to post.
Eastern Star (IRE) ran keenly to the start.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon the mare was deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after leaving the stalls involving Tarseekh (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Marco Ghiani and Jorvik Prince (GB), placed eighth, ridden by William Buick.
Ghiani was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to edge left when insufficiently clear of Jorvik Prince (GB), causing Buick to take a check off his heels.
The winner, Delagate The Lady (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Windsor on 19 April 2021 where the mare finished sixth of ten, beaten 10½ lengths.
Michael Attwater’s explanation that in his view the mare at this stage of her career prefers the All-Weather surface, was noted.
DELEGATE THE LADY was routine tested.
Following the race, Callum Shepherd reported that Manumission (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the colt failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Joey Haynes reported that Perfect Symphony (IRE), placed third, hung badly left.
