I bought this horse from Davy Fitzgerald. He was only beaten a few lengths in his point-to-point and had a pleasing run at Limerick. We decided to make more use of him today. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Getittogether, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. N.P. Madden, rider of Getittogether, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled. The Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding Gold Platinum, placed second , running the wrong side of the second last hurdle . Evidence was heard from A.D.Leigh, rider, who stated that having been directed around an injured horse in the straight, he mistakenly bypassed the second last hurdle. The rider accepted that there was no bypassing disc in place, but after asking whether or not to jump the hurdle he heard somebody shout that it was not to be jumped. Evidence was also heard from Mr. P.F.Graffin, Turf Club Starter who confirmed that he heard somebody say that the hurdle was to be omitted. Having considered the evidence and viewed the videos the stewards disqualified Gold Platinum and amended the judges placings accordingly. Furthermore the rider was found to be in breach of Rule 215, having failed to pull up after missing a hurdle and having considered his record and taken into account the extenuating circumstances he was suspended for four race days and ordered to forfeit his riding fee.
