The Stewards enquired into an incident soon after leaving the starting stalls involving Lucan Rock, ridden by Karen Kenny, unplaced and Robert E Lee, ridden by D.A. McCormack, unplaced, where it appeared that Lucan Rock stumbled when Robert E Lee was making his way across to the running rail from an outside draw. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D.A. McCormack was in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly causing Lucan Rock to stumble. Having taken his good previous record into consideration and the fact that Robert E Lee appeared to be a difficult ride, the Stewards cautioned D.A. McCormack
