The Stewards enquired into an incident about one furlong from the finish involving Teddy Boy, ridden by O.J. Orr, placed seventh (dead heat) and Guiding Star (GB), ridden by A.J. Farragher, placed fourth, where it appeared that Guiding Star(GB) in manoeuvering outwards may have caused Teddy Boy to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by A.J. Farragher riding carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended A.J. Farragher for 2 racedays
C.T. Keane, rider of Ty Rock Brandy trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked after two furlongs and got no run thereafter
S. Foley, rider of Pillar (GB) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away from stalls
C.D. Hayes, rider of Gala N Dandy trained by S.M.Duffy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no clear run at anytime during this race
