The Stewards interviewed Mr A.M. King, rider, in relation to the manner in which he pulled up his mount after being clearly injured. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was aware that his mount had been injured however he found it difficult to pull his mount up and he is inexperienced in these circumstances

Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr A.M. King was in breach of Rule 272 (i) by failing to react appropriately to his mount being injured, failing to pull up in a timely manner and in leading away a clearly injured horse having dismounted. The Stewards considered that Mr A.M. King's actions were attributable to his inexperience, that he misjudged the situation and having considered his previous record in this regard suspended Mr A.M. King for 5 racedays
