An enquiry was held to consider why Oliver Sherwood was running Mr Dorrell Sage (FR) here at Ffos Las on going described as Good, Good to Firm in places, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Kempton Park on 6 May 2019 on ground with the same official description.
The trainer stated that, in his opinion, the ground at Ffos Las was riding better than at Kempton Park and following consultation with Leighton Aspell, the declared rider of Mr Dorrell Sage (FR) who had ridden in the third race on the card, he was happy for the gelding to take its chance.
