The Stewards requested a report from Miss Denise Marie O'Shea, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Supreme Vinnie, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Cork. The trainer reported that her charge had been consistent until the recent run at Cork but she felt that a bad mistake at the second hurdle may have contributed to him not participating for some unknown reason. She added that her charge had recovered and raced successfully from an operation for kissing spines but no post race abnormality was found since the run at Cork. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race or hurdle races after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
