The winner Almost Gold (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Hexham on 2nd September 2020 where the gelding finished eighth of fourteen runners, beaten by 36 lengths.
Ian Williams stated that the gelding had ran well here on his last start at Huntingdon and was suited by the return to the track.
