Rossa Ryan, the rider of IRVING’S GIRL, was unseated approaching 3 furlongs out.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and caused by IRVING’S GIRL sustaining an injury and unseating Ryan.
The performance of Power Surge (IRE), which finished unplaced, was considered.
Robert Stephens could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
Adam Kirby reported that Power Surge (IRE) stopped quickly.
