On leaving the stalls, the winner Revolutionary Man (IRE), jumped slightly right at the same time as SARAH’S VERSE, unplaced, jumped slightly right, causing Kyllishi (GB), placed sixth, to be short of room between the pair.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Revolutionary Man (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference in the final half furlong when the winner Revolutionary Man (IRE), ridden by James Doyle, interfered with Waqaas (GB), placed third, ridden by Isobel Francis, and Herons Nest (IRE), placed second, ridden by Adam Kirby.
Doyle was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift right over a sustained period, resulting in Waqaas (GB) having to be checked and causing Herons Nest (IRE) to be intimidated on the rail.
