The Stewards fined John Joseph Hanlon, trainer, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of Leibniz, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order. D.G. Hogan, rider of Beautiful Ben, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very difficult to settle and came off the bridle after the third last. Andrew J.McNamara, rider of Cairde Aris, trained by John E. Kiely, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount travelled and jumped well before quickly coming off the bridle across the top of the track. John E. Kiely, trainer of Cairde Aris, reported to the Turf Club Veterinary officer that his charge gurgled in running.
