John Bridger had obtained prior permission from the BHA to run Lethal Blast (GB) partially shod.
Permission was given for Lethal Blast (GB) to go early to post and be mounted on the chute.
Leaving the stalls, Tilsworth Rose (GB), unplaced, jumped right carrying Starchant (GB), placed second, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Callum Hutchinson reported that Scale Force (GB), placed eighth, was never travelling and Thore Hammer Hansen reported that Tilsworth Rose (GB), unplaced, was disappointing.
