The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Open To The World trained by C.Roche was found to have grazed a left hind hock on post race examination. The Stewards interviewed B.J. Foley, rider of Open To The World, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10. 3. (g) (arm above shoulder) and (f) frequency and having taken his record into account suspended him for three race days and ordered that he attend RACE for one day's tuition in the correct use of the whip.
An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards mares only that are EBF eligible rated 80-109 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each hurdle race won.
