The winner, Bob Mahler (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Sandown on 9 March 2019 where the gelding finished eighth of eleven, beaten by 29 lengths.
Warren Greatrex’s representative’s explanation that the gelding appreciated being ridden more positively on this occasion was noted.
Bob Mahler (IRE) was routine tested.
The performance of Kings Walk (IRE) which started favourite and finished eighth, was considered.
Colin Tizzard's representative could offer no explanation for the gelding's performance.
Following the race, Aidan Coleman reported that Hurricane Dylan (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling.
