It was her first handicap so I didn’t mind missing out the hurdles down the back!. Hopefully she’ll keep her form for something around Christmas. She got the trip well and picked up when the other one came at her. I wouldn’t be stuck on three miles and she could be best at around two and a half. I always thought a lot of her, so hopefully she’ll keep improving. She’s well-bred and nice to have her in the yard. Thomas Mullins, trainer

The Stewards interviewed M.F. Mooney, rider of King's War, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that M.F. Mooney was in breach of R 10 (3) (g) by using his whip with his arm above shoulder height. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended M.F
