An enquiry was held to consider the placings after the winner, DUHALLOWCOUNTY, ridden by Mr Joe Williamson, Two Hoots, placed second ridden by Sean Quinlan, Jokers And Rogues (IRE), placed third, ridden by Conor O’Farrell and Roxyfet (FR), placed fourth, ridden by Billy Garritty had appeared to take the incorrect course by not jumping the final fence.
The riders and the Clerk of the Course were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
The riders were found not in breach of failing to ride the course correctly, due to there being a fence attendant on the landing side of the fence as they approached.
Being satisfied that all riders took the same course and no rider was disadvantaged the Stewards allowed the result to stand and ordered a report to be forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
