The Stewards interviewed Mr D.M. Fitzgerald, rider of Broomfield Boy, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr
D. M. Fitzgerald was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g (excessive frequency), f (excessive force) and i (time to respond). Having considered Mr. D. M. Fitzgerald's record in this regard the Stewards suspended Mr. D. M
Fitzgerald for four racedays and sent him to R.A.C.E for one days tuition on the correct use of the whip
The Stewards enquired into an incident turning for home involving Imminent Arrival, ridden by Mr D. O'Connor, unplaced and Storm Hill, ridden by Mr J.C. Barry, placed sixth, where it appeared both horses had to check
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. D. O'Connor stated that the gap was closed by the two horses in front of him. Mr. J. C. Barry stated that the horse on his inner had rolled out on the bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by both horses going for the same gap and that any interference caused was accidental in nature and they took no further action

An I.N.H. flat race for six and seven years old colts and geldings only that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing Weights - 12st 2lbs; Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. All horses running in this race must hold a current Hunters Certificate. A Hunter Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2020/2021 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Office of the I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 16th March or the horse will not be qualified to start. The Stewards of the I.N.H.S. Committee have suspended the relevant part of Rule 78 to enable horses which run in this race (excluding the winner) to retain their Hunters Certificate for the remainder of the 2020/2021 season.
