Bandon Roc (GB), trained by Kim Bailey, ran with the wrong number cloth.
After interviewing Kim Bailey’s representative, the rider and the Clerk of the Scales, Bailey was fined £140.
Adam Wedge, the rider of Billy Bronco (GB), was unseated approaching the fourth last fence.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and caused by the gelding veering sharply left-handed without warning and running out.
Jonjo O’Neill Jr, the rider of Lithic (IRE), placed second, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip above the permitted level from after the third last fence.
Following the race, Mikey Hamill reported that Bandon Roc (GB), which was pulled up, was unsuited by being slowly away and therefore unable to race prominently as a result.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Ravensdale (IRE), which was pulled up, lost its right fore shoe, Brynmawr (GB), placed fourth, lost its right hind shoe and Seaston Spirit (GB), placed seventh, lost its right fore shoe.
