An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong when the winner, Steelriver (IRE), ridden by Phil Dennis, interfered with Indian Affair (GB), unplaced, ridden by Kieran O’Neill.
Dennis was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had maneuvered left-handed when insufficiently clear, causing O’Neill to have to take a check.
Following the race, Jamie Gormley reported that Marble Bar (GB), unplaced, ran too freely.
The representative of Paul D'Arcy reported that Tiger Lyon (USA), which started favourite and finished unplaced, had a breathing problem.
The gelding was routine tested.
