An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the first bend involving BRIXIE GIRL, placed third, ridden by Frederick Larson and Black Echo (FR), unplaced, ridden by Kieran O’Neill.
Being a 7lb claimer, Larson was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Larson was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had angled his mount left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of a free-running Black Echo (FR), resulting in O’Neill having to take a check.
Following the race, Rossa Ryan reported that Darisana (FR), unplaced, was never travelling.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Little Emma Loulou (GB), unplaced, lost its left-hind shoe.
