- Stewards Report
Permission was given for Jungle Boogaloo (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and led early to post.
Leaving the stalls, Diamonds Dream (GB), unplaced, jumped awkwardly and shifted sharply left-handed hampering Essaka (IRE), placed seventh, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching 3 furlongs out, a free-running LEO’S LUCKYMAN, unplaced, was checked to avoid the heels of Red Allure (GB), placed sixth, which edged slightly left-handed but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 furlong after the start involving the winner, Passional (GB), ridden by Marco Ghiani and Jungle Boogaloo (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Jason Hart.
Lewis Edmunds, the rider of Dynamo Walt (IRE), placed third, was also interviewed but found not to be involved.
Ghiani was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he made insufficient effort to keep his mount straight, resulting in sustained pressure to Jungle Boogaloo (IRE) on the rail ultimately causing Hart to take a severe check.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching ½ a furlong out involving Dynamo Walt (IRE), placed third, ridden by Lewis Edmunds and Oh So Nice (GB), placed second, ridden by Mollie Phillips.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Phillips was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Phillips was cautioned for careless riding as she had allowed her mount to hang right-handed without sufficient correction, when insufficiently clear causing Edmunds to briefly ease Dynamo Walt (IRE) and switch left to continue his run.
Following the race, Jack Mitchell reported that Essaka (IRE), placed seventh, jumped awkwardly from the stalls and Edward Greatrex reported that The Night Watch (GB), unplaced, lost its action and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
