The winner, Throckley (GB), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Market Rasen on 17 August 2019 where the gelding finished eighth of the ten finishers, beaten by 25½ lengths.
It was noted that Katy Price could offer no explanation for Throckley (GB)’s improved form.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Throckley (GB), during routine testing, revealed the gelding lost its left fore shoe.
Following the race, Sam Twiston-Davies reported that Jaillissant (FR) was unsteerable so he missed the second hurdle and it took some time to pull the gelding up.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Unsuspected Girl (IRE), placed second, lost its left fore shoe and London Glory (GB), unplaced, lost its right fore shoe.
