Luck with Halford and Whelan in Dundalk opener

It looked a good race for him,. He got a good ride, they went a nice gallop and he kept it simple on him. He battled well to win and it's nice to win another one with him. He's a horse that will have no bother switching back on to the grass, we'll see if we still own him after this. If he's claimed, he's claimed . The owner (James Matthews) is based in Sri Lanka and I've never actually met him, I've only spoken to him on the phone. He's had patience with him and he'll be delighted to have a winner.

She's on the up this filly,. She's all heart and she's very versatile, she's after winning over five, six and seven. I think six is her best trip. I hope the handicapper doesn't kill her. She's tough and everything that battled with her she battles. I think there might be something here for her next month so we could come back here and then tip away with the grass. I think she'll improve again and hopefully it will keep going. Tom Heatrick owns her, he's a north of Ireland man, and I think that's his third winner in the last couple of weeks. Ty Rock Brandy also won last week for him. He's after having a great season up here during the winter and hopefully it will keep going.

Donnelly delight as Prince wins another at Dundalk

At long last. He's been knocking on the door for a long time,. I thought that the handicapper hadn't given him much of a chance because he's an older horse and hasn't won for two years. Thank God he's done it tonight. He's always shown that he has plenty of life left in him. He's a fierce genuine horse, there is never an ounce of bother with him and he's as sound as a pound. He won this race two years ago and was second in it last year. Martin Sheridan is a great supporter of ours and we have another nice filly for him at home by Kodiac. Hopefully there is another one for him here. He hops off that surface. We'll give him a couple if weeks to freshen him up, he's an easy horse to train.

He's a smashing horse. It had the makings of a good race and I'd say it rode like a good race,. He's just getting stronger all the time and I'd have no worries about him going on the grass either. We'll take our time, he's done well to do what he's done so far, and we'll pick a race in six or eight weeks time.

She's a very straight-forward filly and she loves being in front. She'd gallop her heart out for you,. I'm delighted for Nicky Hartery, he's been patient with her, and it's nice that she's won. I'm delighted for Ross riding out his claim. He is with us a couple of days a week and he's a great help at home to us so I'm delighted to be able to give him his last winner as a claimer. It worked out well and we've had a good night, the horses are in good form. I have to thank the lads at home because I was in Hong Kong for a couple of days so Fabian Burke and the lads at home did a great job.

I've always thought he was a mile-and-two horse or even a mile-and-a-half and he's done it very well there,. He's always slow at the start and loses a lot of ground. The mile race tonight looked weaker but we put him in the two in case he didn't get in. The mile-two was always the one I wanted to go for. With a bit of luck he can win again shortly. I wouldn't be afraid of going up to a mile-and-a-half with him. Hopefully he can't punish us too much for that race and we can keep a light weight on him.
