Much to look forward to with White Satin
Great start from Weld's Titus
He did one or two nice pieces of work at home and I was very pleased with him. I thought he'd run a very nice race and that's what he's done,. He's a very big colt and a horse with a lot of potential. He'll probably appear in a classic trial towards the end of April or early May. What his distance will be next year I'm not sure. He's a colt with plenty of pace anyway. He'll always want good ground and that's one of the reasons we came here for the nice ground. He's 16'2 and what I like about him is that for a horse that will probably stay well he has plenty of pace. I would expect him to be a stakes horse next year. He has an awful lot to learn as he's never been away before. It's all new to him and he's a gorgeous big horse.
Zawraq can't deal with Fairies in the Trigo
We were hoping to be placed as we thought the Weld horse was a serious horse,. She won on fast ground in Fairyhouse and after Sunday we thought the trip would suit. We rode her to, hopefully, get placed, but Gary said when she picked it up and went on it was game over. She's in the sales. Whether we keep her I don't know. A nice race to start off in would maybe the Park Express Stakes if she stays. She has a nice pedigree and has never run a bad race. She's never been out of the first three or four.
Light too good for boys in Killavullan
I won this race with a filly before, Big Break, and I thought it was the ideal race for this filly,. It was an excellent ride by Pat and he was in the right place at the right time. She quickened nicely and did it well. She's a good filly. She was very impressive when she won her maiden and has backed it up in a group race now. Hopefully she'll appear in a classic trial here next spring. It's been a wonderful year for Pat and I. We've won over 90 races and I think we had 10 group winners apart from the Derby wins. Spring, summer and autumn they've been running well and Pat has ridden brilliantly.
Wave wins as big gamble fails
That was a pleasant surprise. He's going to the Doncaster sales next week and that might help his sale,. He's a genuine little horse. He ran well in Naas and we came here on account of him being on his way. We decided to ride him back the way he won. Kevin Ross bought him as a yearling and syndicated him. The idea was to win a couple of races, put him on the market and invest again.
Beau leaves McGuinness "a bit surprised"
It's not very testing today - he can't handle really heavy. He was in good form. We just breezed him the other day and it left him nice and fresh,. further . We'll go to Galway next year! He's been a great servant. He's won seven times and won at Galway three times. We'll try and make it four in a row next year.
Carraigin gets off mark at 33/1
We've been a long time waiting. She's disappointed plenty of times and been the bridesmaid but stuck at it well today,. She was down to a weight she could compete off. She's had a few runs over hurdles so I'll talk to the owner and we might keep her hurdling during the winter. She appears to handle tougher conditions.
