She’s a lovely filly but I was surprised last week when Shane said she’s ready to go. I thought being by Australia that she might need a bit more time but he said no,. I’d say we’ll take our time with her, and she was bought to be a three-year-old. She has a good temperament and did it right. She has no big entries but I’d say we’ll put her in the Moyglare when the time comes. Ascot comes up very soon and I think she’s going to be a mile filly anyway. She needed every bit of that seven furlongs.

We only have 12 in training and they have all been running exceptionally well, so to get one on the board is good,. He was a weak horse last year and improved over the winter. He’d a good first run back at the Curragh and I’d have been disappointed if he didn’t do that this evening. He had a stone bruise and we had to take him out at Fairyhouse last week. He’s still a baby and only has eight runs under his belt. Hopefully he’ll improve from that again. This was Mr (Herb) Stanley’s horse and a new syndicate has come together to take him and another horse over. It’s great for them and is their first winner.

Three-horse races are notorious and he’s an extremely idle colt. He had a hold up over the winter so he’s only on his way back. He needed the run in the Derrinstown and I think he’ll progress a lot from today’s run. He got there to win easy and got a bit tired again,. Ideally what he’d love is a real true run race where you can ride him from off the pace and produce him. We’ll see how he comes out of this race and speak to the owner but the Irish Derby is a definite possibility — the logical place to go with him. I’m happy because there is plenty of improvement in this horse. It was a workmanlike performance, and the ground doesn’t really matter for him. He’s a good actioned horse and handles good to firm ground well. That’s lovely ground out there and perfect for every horse. He’s bone idle and that’s why he’s difficult to get fit. He does absolutely nothing at home.
