That's compensation for Mallow. The ground was a bit better today than at Navan (short-headed there by Clan Tara). We'll find another race for him and he'll go chasing next year. (EM)
Realt Dubh Justifies Odds
I think a lot of him and maybe his best run was when he was second to Mikael D'Haguenet at Navan. He may be better over a bit further and he should improve when he jumps fences. Paul felt he idled in front but when the other horse came to him he went on again. He won't be going to Cheltenham.
Quevega Impresses in Cheltenham Trial
I didn't think she was particularly right today and I expect plenty of improvement. She'll go for the David Nicholson Mares Hurdle at Cheltenham. I took a bit of a chance running her today so close to Cheltenham, but she didn't seem to get too hard a race.
Mullins/Walsh Double Up
He'll have another run or two over hurdles but he is the build of a chaser in the making. He may go over a longer trip and Ruby suggested that he'd prefer going left-handed even though he has now won twice going right. (EM)
Retrievethelegend Scores
The last day was a classic case of a horse just not staying (ran in a three and a half mile chase here). He always does his best. In his earlier days he had his problems with the course designer, he kept putting the fences in the wrong places!. (EM)
Kiely/McManus Complete Double in Bumper
He might have his holidays now. He is a horse for next year and I look forward to him. (EM)
