Punchestown Wed, 21st Feb, 2024  Hispanic Moon she's beaten Saylavee a lot easier today than she did here back in November and hopefully there is a bit more in the locker. She's in the Mares Hurdle at Cheltenham and we'll see how she comes out of this but we might take a punt. You'd have to be tempted. she was impressive here back in November and I don't know what went wrong during Christmas, there was no real excuse for her and she just didn't run her race for some reason. That was much more like it today and Darragh knew himself after jumping two hurdles that she was back to herself. She was a different mare, travelled and jumped really well. She winged the last and went from there to the winning post with her two ears pricked.

Fairyhouse Wed, 7th Feb, 2024  Iris Emery It was a good performance. For a maiden, first time, she jumped very well and that brought me a lot of the way round. The second had some decent form pre-Christmas and I'd say for a small field it probably wasn't the worst maiden. They are two decent types and it's nice to get the job done with my one. Maidens first time are not normally that straightforward, even out in front on her own. If they were all like that it would be easy.

Leopardstown Sun, 4th Feb, 2024  El Fabiolo He did his job well because Dinoblue had worked very well during the week, and I thought if he made any mistake then she would definitely give him a race. Mark was very happy with her, so it was a good test and not a freebie by any means. She was getting 7lb from him and she is a good mare. He was very clean today and very good. Paul just sat very quiet on him, and he appreciated that and did his job. I’m delighted all the owners are here and they love coming to Ireland to race. They have raced in France and England extensively, but they say the experience here is way better. The appreciation Irish people have for racing is huge which you don’t get in other countries.

Cork Sun, 10th Dec, 2023  El Fabiolo I was a little worried as I had five other runners today and none of them shone so I was thinking this could be one of those days but he got the job done. He was workmanlike and was very free with Paul over the first three fences,. He didn't get too high (in jumping) and Paul was trying to not let his head go and didn't want him running too free. He relaxed at the second fence down the back straight and was able to do things properly. If he needed a race, Jack Kennedy (on runner-up Fil Dor) was there to test him and he did.
