Poseidon He has a valuable 10lbs claim. I've been looking at him pony racing for the last two and a half years and you couldn't but be impressed. He won all before him at Dingle last year and when Ger Lyons released him to the outside trainers I said I'd use him. From his hurdle mark he was well in, but didn't have much to spare either, although the second (The Jam Man) is highly rated as well over hurdles. He is entered for the Listowel Hurdle but I have Wonder Laish for that and he has the same owner; Poseidon could run in a big staying handicap but there aren't many races for him and he won't get into the Cesarewitch.

Magic Sea I was delighted with that. Both times that he's won before it has bucketed with rain on the morning of the race so I knew he had his ground. He's been in great form. The ground didn't go as soft as I would have hoped in Galway. The two miles on good ground there was a bit too short. Actually the form of that race has turned out very good anyway. I would have been hopeful there on softer ground as he likes it around there. He was second there on the Flat. I'm the only person here delighted to be soaked!. Eoin gets on with him brilliantly and knows him inside out. We'll chop and change it with him now, he'll go over fences once we get our ground and a course that suits. We're really looking forward to that and we think the best is yet to come.

Poseidon I'm delighted for the owner (Martin White) who has been a local supporter through thick and thin and it was a nice pot to win. He had a great run in Galway and that race looked a good race on the day, and he carried on from there. There is a similar race in Listowel over two miles and he loved today's ground. It has taken him a long time to find a decent level and overall he had been disappointing as he cost plenty in Newmarket. He'll jump a fence in time but the Listowel Hurdle will be the plan now.

Flaming Moon The little bit further obviously brought out more improvement in him,. We were running him over a bit short looking at that now. He's done it well. We just wanted to see would he stay a mile today. He shows a lot of speed at home, even the likes of Master Matt, who is a five or six furlongs horse, wouldn't work with him. We said we'd try a mile and he's obviously better over further. It opens up a few options now. Last year I thought he was a proper horse. He ran a cracker here the first day and was unlucky a few times after. In Galway the last day he missed the break a bit and they came in on top of him. I'm happy with that. Kevin had his first winner today as well so it's been a good day.

Giorni Felice He probably did it too well but I'm delighted with him. I thought he'd win last week (finished sixth at Roscommon) but it was a helter skelter of a race, he got his throat cut and that was the end of it. He likes a bit of dig in the ground. Hopefully he can go in again but what will the handicapper do now!. He was rated 80 at one time. He was well thought of early on in Lynam's. He's come a long way down since then. I schooled him over hurdles and thought he was as good a jumper as I've ever seen but I brought him away to school with another horse and he knocked down every hurdle. He's in a good space at the moment though so might try him again as he goes on soft ground.

Poseidon He is consistent and ran up to his rating. He jumped really well and he likes that ground. He could run on the Flat also for the summer, and I'll look for something before Galway.
