Miacomet When she gets to the front she pricks her ears, and I was delighted to see Andy last at halfway as she needs cover and once she gets to the front she thinks its job done. I was delighted when the result was called and the longer it went on the more the doubts start creeping in. That’s her 18th run of the year and she’s had two wins and been second and third a total of seven times. I haven’t spared her but she’s thrived on it. She’s earned her keep and is progressive.

Plough Boy he's knows the place well as he's down here quite often. We thought six furlongs might just stretch him but had the advantage of knowing the beach so well. We said we'd let him bowl along today, he knows the place well, he's a legend of a horse and that's 14 times he's won now. Everything is so easy for him, no matter what you do with him he takes it in his stride. It's great for the lads who are great owners. There is a race in Dundalk for him in two weeks time. We usually give him a break when he peters out a bit. Those races aren't hard on him, six furlongs sure I'd do that myself!

Be Like The Bird She’s a genuine little filly, and I’d imagine somebody will claim her. She’s very straight forward and sound, and should give someone a bit of fun. I didn’t think she should have been 25/1 as in her grade she had decent enough form. She had a nice draw and Ben Coen gave her a lovely ride. He saved a bit of ground, produced her at the right time and got it on the nod.

Dare To Flare He lost his chance at the start at the Curragh the last day and nearly lost it again today but he does that. He is after throwing away so many races that way,. I'll step him up to 1m2f as well and I'd say he could go jumping eventually. Being by Dandy Man you wouldn't think it but he is tough and keeps going on soft ground. I don't see why not and we didn't jump him yet but he is a good athletic horse so I'd imagine he'd jump.

Last Opportunity That's grand. He was green and today's race was about qualifying him, giving him experience and hopefully winning on route to the sales race on Champions Weekend. He has breezed but that's the first time I have galloped him on grass. He has a great temperament. The negative is that we've won with a few Dandy Mans first time and they haven't done much after that but the positive is that he's a nice horse and has a great temperament. He's been trained with the sales race in mind and that's the next target.

Dare To Flare He ran a lovely race in Limerick and we kind of fancied him coming here today,. He has a problem with the stalls, he missed the break again today but still won. He's probably a bit better than he's letting on. He'll go to Galway on the Monday night now for the three-year-old handicap. He should get in after winning that. That was always the plan. He'll come up the hill as he's tough. We just can't get him to break well enough. He probably should have won a maiden at Dundalk but he got left at the start several times during the winter and then we left him off. He had a lovely run in Limerick, when he needed the run, and we aimed for this race so it's worked out.

Croughavouke She ran well in Navan the last day and we thought she'd improved a good bit and it worked out well and she stayed well,. She is a nice filly, we thought a bit of her coming here and we'll look for a bit of black-type with her now; she might go to England for black-type.

Cool Vixen She ran well in a barrier trial here and Niall said she knew what she was doing. The barrier trials are a great help, and the little bit of rain just took the sting out of the ground which probably helped the two of them. In the spring we thought we had a nice bunch, and then they took a bit of a dip when the weather was bad at the beginning of May. We had to sit and wait with them and now they have come back. The colts need to pull their socks up now! I’ve only had a few of them placed and they need to start to win.

Count D'orsay I'm pleased for the horse as much as anything,. It's very hard to place a three-year-old over five furlongs in this country. They are all six furlong races or else you are taking on the older horses. He's goes to the July Sale. He's probably off quite a good mark on the basis of that so hopefully someone will pick him up. He's a sound little horse and is very straight-forward. He's fairly easy to recommend.

Piper Bomb I knew she'd like a bit of juice in the ground and she had been the bridesmaid here twice before. She blew up in Gowran the last day and I knew she'd come on from it. She is a low grade handicapper and we'll find something else before the year is out. She is belonged to a group of lads who have been with me since 2006 and I trained the dam (Distant Piper) who won six or seven races. They bred her themselves so it is great.

Nitro Boost I kind of did it backwards, when she was placed the last day in the Listed race she went up 10lb,. Billy (Lee) was keen to ride her but I said 'she'd have 9-10 there, I'll have to take some weight off because she's only a small filly'. Nathan is riding well and gave her a lovely ride. She quickened up nicely and when the horses came to her she quickened again. We'll probably go to Ayr for a three-year-old only fillies race there on the 22nd. The Land O'Burns Stakes.
