Bythesametoken Simon rode this horse the last day and gave him a lovely ride and the lads were delighted to keep him on him with the 5lbs claim. That's his first winner for me. he had winter form on soft to heavy so when the rain came it didn't really affect us, but might have affected some of the summer horses. His last run left him spot on; he ran well in 0-130 hurdle then and he was dropping back to a 0-116 today but the topweight was rated just 110 so it was a drop in class. He is a fine big horse and will jump a fence as well. It is great for the Monroes (owners) as well as they are great supporters of the yard.

Foxy Jacks he jumped great all the way today and made up for being unseated the last day at Limerick. We got a nice lead all the way, he jumped great and picked up nicely. On form you were hoping he would do that, and thankfully he did.

Walking Fame She is now finished for the rest of the season and will go chasing next year. She is a big old-fashioned chaser and I'm delighted for the owner Olivia O'Reilly who is here today. Elaine Taaffe, representing

Young Ted He's done well with a break. He'd a few little issues last year and it just took him a while to get over them. He did promise to be a good horse when he was younger and hopefully he'll come back. He stays very, very well and I'd say he needs three miles.

Brooklynn Glory She is a nice filly and has been showing me a lot at home but I was a little worried about the ground today - I thought she might want better but Patrick said she handled it alright. She is a nice, strong mare with plenty of size and she's a mare that will win races. She wore a hood as she is a little giddy and I was afraid coming down here with the big crowd on ladies' day!

Bon Retour She seemed to be following Danny's (Mullins, on Summer Hill) horse by jumping to her left but she has never shown done that at home and I schooled her myself this morning and she was fine. We were happy enough with her French mark of 121 and it was great to win from it and hopefully she will improve and go forward again. She is with us a few months and she will jump a fence as well. I wouldn't imagine easier ground would be an issue for her and she wouldn't have run on quick ground.
