The Rubinator he was second to Fury Road in a bumper at Fairyhouse but has just had a few little niggly problems since and it looked a very good opportunity for him today. He made a little bit of a mistake at the second last but fought back and stayed going. He'll probably get a bit further in time but we'll keep him over two miles for the moment. He has been a funny horse to work with, so we'll just have to see how he is at home and pick out something for him then.

Sole Pretender We’re delighted and he’s doing everything we’re asking of him. We have a small yard with 15 horses in at the moment and he’s by far the best we’ve ever had. He’s owned by a great man, Michael Hogan, and he trusts us with him. We will have 30 in for the winter and we are always open to getting good horses into the yard.

Legacy Thor He ran well the last day and he has improved for better ground. He'll get a wee bit of a break now and go over hurdles at the end of the summer. He had a nice run the first day in Navan. He likes a trip and he jumps well. He would be a three parts brother to Legacy Gold so Chris (Johnson) will have a bit of fun with him. He's a nice horse to go novice hurdling.

Fort Worth Texas She acts better on heavier ground and I thought it might be a bit lively for her but she stays very well. She was a maiden at the start of the season and is now after winning four point-to-points and this and is a grand little thing. She will have a break now and will come back hurdling on winter ground. Leo (owner Leo McArdle) normally moves them to Willie (Mullins) but I think he's leaving this one to me.

Ballyboker Bridge to win this again means everything. There is nothing like the banks races as it requires top courage for riders and horses. A lot of races have been modified but that’s the last gladiator stand left. . Ballyboker was always a good horse but he doesn’t stay. You have to nurse him around and he got his own way for a bit and he filled up and went away again. If he gets a breather he’ll stay well but he used to run very keen with the choke out when he was younger.

Sole Pretender He is progressing away nicely and taking every step at a time. We are very pleased with him. He will get 10 days off now and he'll do a bit of swimming and we'll bring him to the beach. He'll go back to Ballinrobe at the end of next month for a 50,000 euro race (the McHale Mayo Hurdle). All going well that is where he will go. He is doing his job well. We might bring him to Galway and he could run on the flat too. He seems to have enough gears for the flat.

Sole Pretender We're delighted with him - he's a very good little horse,. Hopefully the handicapper is not too hard on him. He's only 16 hands but he's worth getting up for every day. He'll go to Punchestown - maybe for a Grade Two or Three and it's credit to Michael (Hogan, owner) that he kept him because we're a selling yard. I had him fairly straight for today and hopefully we'll be going to Galway with him this summer. Please God he'll be a Galway Hurdle type in time.

Smoking Gun That was good. Over two miles on good ground it just all happened a bit quick for him the last day. He went up in trip today and the bit of juice in the ground helped him too. Rachael gave him a lovely ride. He's an improving horse. Last year he didn't show much in bumpers but he did well on his winter's break and improved. He's a nice staying type of horse. We'll see what the handicapper does now.

Take Revenge We were delighted with his run here the last time and kept it in mind that we might as well go back to where he ran well. It was borderline with the ground but when I looked at it today I was happy with it even though he would like it a bit easier.
