Moyode Gold she had been schooling over hurdles and fences and is naturally a very good jumper so I couldn't believe she fell here (on New Year's Day), I suppose any horse can fall. Aine (O'Connor) rode her a couple of times in bumpers and she was just too slow. Today again she came off the bridle turning in but the farther she'll go the better she's going to be. She's a grand mare and works better at home than a few of the other mares that have won. I was surprised she didn't run better in a bumper but obviously she just wants a proper trip and something to jump. She's something to look forward to hopefully. The young lad is still going well with that 7lb and it was for very important owners, the wife and and the mother-in-law. She also got a five grand bonus there for fillies so it was a good day out.

Opposites Attract He's improving from every run and getting a bit stronger which you like to see. Conor just said he was always happy with him on the bridle. They went a nice gallop today and at the top of the hill he was happy. I'd say he would probably want nicer ground, he's a big galloper. He wants further and he's a nice horse.

Well Set Up She is a very tough mare and is an out-and-out stayer, . We were a little bit worried because they went no gallop but she also showed a turn of foot to win and I'm delighted. She is tough and grinds it out and is a hardy bit of stuff. There is the Dorans Pride Novice Hurdle for her next at Limerick over Christmas or else she could for the 2m4f Grade 1 novice at Naas in January but she'll tell us where to go. It is a good boost for her owner/breeder Jean Corrigan who couldn't make it down today.

Costalita She is a homebred filly and the dam (Vinnes Friend) was good to me and won twice and we liked her. She is from a very good family and is the first foal from the mare. John Dillon approached me, through another owner and his friend Oliver Barden, to get involved in a horse and I said this would be a fun filly. She is of average ability but is after winning a handicap nicely so hopefully the handicapper won't be too hard on her and hopefully she will get another day.

Well Set Up she deserved that as she had been second in two Listed races before and when she hits the front she runs around the place. She didn't seem to have too hard of a race there, did it well and that's her trip and ground. There is a race back here in three weeks time or we might freshen her up and bring her back to Limerick. There are plenty of options. If she won (the Listed race at Limerick) last year I wouldn't have her as she'd definitely have been retired! We're delighted to have her again this year and Ricky knows her inside out. She runs around a good bit and she'd never look like she is travelling and he gave her a great ride.

Ten Allin These are a great bunch of lads, the Red Neds from the north,. Fair play to them they've been very patient. She got colic at one stage and she nearly died, then she got badly cast and did a lot of damage to her back at the time. They waited and she was ready to run, we were supposed to come here last April, and she got a stone bruise so we left her off. They've been very patient and are a great bunch of lads. I'm delighted for them. She's a nice mare and please God it's onwards and upwards. She has a bit of class. I'll probably go to Navan for the Listed mares bumper but I'll have to talk to these lads. I think she'll improve a lot from that. Ray said she idled away in front and he gave her a great ride.

Gold Speed JJ was saying to keep doing what we're doing with him and not to rush him, . He said he will take even more time and he is a horse you could fry very quick as he is very highly strung. He said he had plenty left in the tank and when he gets out in front he will relax. He'll go for a small novice hurdle somewhere and if there is a Final (of the Series, at the Punchestown festival) we'll be there!. After his bumper run behind Felix Desjy he had a capped hock, which should have been a minor thing, but it got bad and he had to have minor surgery. We had to call a halt and attack it and he was then in a cast for six weeks. It's great to have him and hopefully we can build on today.

Robin Gold I haven't ridden a winner for a while and you'd know it as I took it up and she hung left. She stays galloping and that's all she does,. I was very light at 10st10lbs but I've been playing other sports and have been watching my weight the last few months. I lost four or five pounds for today. She had worked well a couple of weeks ago and we were expecting her to run well. We didn't think she'd win but thought she had an each-way squeak. Robbie McNamara got his license to be a jockeys' agent today so he'll be taking my bookings along with Bryan Cooper from now on.

Agusta Gold She had a lovely run in Fairyhouse when she wouldn't have been 100 percent and she came on lovely with a lovely clear round. She is getting more professional the whole time and while the fences are not quite as big here, I'm delighted with the way she jumped,. There is a lovely campaign for the mares' novice route and there are four of us involved in her, myself, Kieran Leavy, Fergus Healy and Lorcan Cribbin. They are a great bunch of lads and are plucky!

Golden Glen She stays well and Brian gave her a cute ride and kept out for the better ground,. She ran in Gowran earlier this month over two miles and was staying on at the finish.

Well Set Up Ricky gave her a good ride. She always hits a flat spot and he nursed her through it. Two miles isn't her ideal trip but it's a nice place to start off. There is a novice hurdle and also a mares hurdle in Limerick in a couple of weeks time. We'll have a look at those and see how she is. She loves that ground.

Gold Speed He was very good. We've always thought plenty of this fella. He had a couple of setbacks but he needed all the time he got. He's a big leggy horse, he's six-year-old now and I'd say he's still strengthening up. He's not the full horse yet. He had a lovely run in Listowel. We gave him plenty of time. He'll go for a maiden hurdle now. Win, lose or draw today he was going to go hurdling. We'll enter him up in a month's time all going well, if he's okay. He loved that kind of ground. I wouldn't like to run him on real heavy winter ground, not yet anyway.
