Ascot Adventure I had him ready early but he got weak and we had to wait until now. He is named Ascot Adventure because we thought he might be an Ascot type but he just took a bit of time. He has a great temperament and is a lovely horse and is very fast. I was a bit afraid of the ground because being by Mayson he'd probably be better with a little ease. He'll probably be sold and I'd love to keep him but I don't think that'll happen!

Midnight Fire He was very sharp out of the gates last time at Cork and travelled strongly. Today he fell out of them and looked to me like he was on the back foot the whole way but he got the job done.

Angel Palanas He cost 8,500 and it took us a little while to figure him out; we thought he was in good form the last day, but the ground became heavy at Limerick and that went against him. His best form was on the all-weather in Southwell and there was a nice bit of juice in the ground today; it is on the easy side of good and he appreciated it. He could be a Dundalk type and we might give him another run on the turf first. Luke is flying at the minute and it is great to have him.

Bellick I didn't know but I thought on the nod we might have got it,. I was cursing for four furlongs of the race thinking we were on the wrong side so it was probably a good performance. He deserves it, he's a little star and never runs a bad race. I'm sure we'll end up back in Dundalk for the winter. He had been hitting a flat spot in his races and I said to Siobhan 'don't force him' and it seems to have worked as he's run two better races the last twice. Siobhan was flying and then Covid came. It's very tough to give chances the way things are but she's well worth the 7lb claim, listens to what she's told and is improving all the time. I'm delighted for her and hopefully it might kick start her again.
