The Red Menace I was worried would he go on the ground as he had never ran on it before. Previously he dropped out when he got passed, but he jumped brilliantly today and it now looks like that ground is what he wants. We were talking about giving him a break but we'll keep going now and three miles is what he wants.

The Red Menace he lacks a gear. He took to jumping fences very well at home and we hoped that just might give him a little bit extra. He stays three miles really well and likes goodish ground. We'll kick on until the winter comes in I suppose. We'll see where we go. I'd say he will probably be a little bit better at this than he was over hurdles. He just lacked that gear.

Ciankyle He's been a good old servant to us. I thought the ground might be gone for him there, as he likes top of the ground really. He handled it well and Mark said it's not that bad. We have him entered in a chase at Killarney on Friday and he could possibly go there if he's okay. He's just a nice little handicapper and we'll keep him going while he's going well.
