New Vocation She got badly hampered the last day, turning in, when we thought she had a chance,. We had to freshen her up and change things around. She's probably back down to a nice winning mark too. Joey gave her a fine ride and a lot of the credit has to go to my girlfriend Sarah (Dixon) as she does a lot of work helping me with the horses, there is just the two of us. She is her pride and joy and she rides her every day. Going to the beach has freshened her up as well, it's something different. She's as fit as a flee. We're looking forward to what happens next now. We'll have to see what the handicapper gives her but we got the win out of her now anyway and that's all that matters.

Nightly Wailing We have been waiting for that two miles. He won over the course and distance over two years ago but he had a little problem and it took a while to get him back. We took our time with him. He always runs well up here and ran well over a mile and a half the last day. The horse that won that race also won here earlier today. There is not too many two-mile races here, and fair play to Michael Grassick and his contacts he got one put on. I was delighted when I saw it because I knew he would get in after being third the last day. Rory gave him an excellent ride. I was quite confident after his run the last day and going up to two miles today. We’ll mind him now and hopefully there will be another two miles race put on here as there is a lot of people looking for them. There are a lot of horses out there that need two miles and can’t jump.

Verbal Fencing She was stepping up to a mile there and seemed to stay really well, she hit the line travelling really well. Luke said he was always confident, sitting third or fourth. We were a bit concerned about the ground but she handled it well. It was easy in Down Royal but that was good today, beautiful ground. She did it well and we'll look for another nursery. Luke seems to get on well with her. He's having a good run and is in a real purple patch.

Verbal Fencing She's tough and she stays well. She probably hasn't much speed, but stuck at it well to the line and going further she will be a better filly. She was very tough and when the boss has one like this you always have a bit of confidence that you can win. Big thanks to Kevin (Manning), he told me I would win if I made the running and got her up there early. She got to the line and that is what it is all about.
