Curragh Sun, 26th Jun, 2022  La Petite Coco To be honest I couldn't see her being beaten coming here,. The level she showed last year to beat Love and the winner of this race (Thundering Nights), I didn't enter her in the Arc for fun. I think she's top class. We decided, Barry and I, that we'd start her campaign in the middle of the year with a view to the second half. She didn't have a run but I don't think it matters to her. Rosscarbery was third as well and she ran a very good race. She's progressing and I couldn't split them as I knew the two of them were in good form. It's great and that's why we get up and try and do it. We're lucky that people like Barry have sent us some good horses. We planned to start it here. The Yorkshire Oaks is something we'll consider, the Fillies and Mare at Ascot, the Arc, the Breeders Cup maybe and Hong Kong. That sort of line up. We were keen to start at home, we didn't really want to travel for her first run. William Haggas is a good friend of mine and we pre-trained for him. Then I decided three or four years ago to really give training a go. We did it first in my own colours with a permit. I had confidence in the two fillies and I was hoping the two of them would run good races. If I had to be beaten it would have been okay to be beaten by William but I would rather have won!

Ballinrobe Mon, 20th Jun, 2022  Kirati Beach I love it here. It’s a beautiful facility, the ground is always perfect, there’s always a great crowd here. It’s just a very well presented place and, for whatever reason, our horses seem to enjoy bowling along in front here. It suits a front-runner and our horses enjoy front-running. She was very green on debut (at Limerick) and poor Oisin Orr actually cracked his shin when he fell off her after the line. I was delighted with her that day and we came home from Sligo very disappointed. She was a little bit keen in behind horses there and, kind of, emptied herself out. We gave her a month to freshen up and I gave her one little bit of work last Wednesday and I was very happy with her. I thought this track might suit her. She’s keen to get on with things at home and likes getting going so I figured that, even from the wide draw, she’d a chance of getting across. She’s a nice, well-bred filly, a sister to Sir Erec. I’d like her to strengthen up a little bit and ideally she might get a bit of black-type at some point in her career but, for now, if we can find a handicap for her we’ll work forward from there.

Cork Wed, 8th Jun, 2022  Rosscarbery She’s tough, and looks to have improved again from Roscommon, which is great. She’s been great all spring, she’s done everything we’ve asked of her. I was hopeful she’d run a big race tonight as, up in trip, with the way she’s bred - a stout German pedigree and by Sea The Stars - I thought it would play to her strengths. Everywhere we’ve taken her, she’s given us a good day out. As she’s got stronger and taken racing, we’ve stepped her up in distance. She won her maiden, she made her way through the handicap route, and now she has won a Group 3. She's the master of her own destiny. I think a right-handed track is probably preferable. It was a good race, but I thought she was good enough to run well. She’s progressing all the time, and our hand is forced — we can only run her in one type of race now. Robert (Moran, owner) bought her as a yearling, a Sea The Stars filly, and I’m sure that getting black-type was the aim, and it’s great to achieve it.
