Sirjack Thomas Johnny’s horses are in flying form and this lads done it well today. Johnny said to keep it straight forward as he’s uncomplicated and handles an ease in the ground. He could step him up in trip if he wanted to, and I’m sure there is plenty of improvement.

Near Kettering Tom rides out two days a week with us so it’s grand to be able to give him a winner. He’s a good lad, working hard and gave him a beautiful ride. He was just so fresh after running at Leopardstown and I took a chance. I don’t usually like running them so quick but he was really well and it was an ideal race for him. He’s a durable, straight forward horse and hopefully he can win another handicap for us. My head girl Valerie (Keatley) got concussed the other day, and she normally rides this horse out. She is eating a bit today and hopefully is on the mend.

True Valour I'm so delighted he's won a Group 3 because we've always thought he was a group horse and he thrived over the winter,. The big day is back here on Champions Weekend. Sheikh Fahad is a big supporter of the day so he'll come back here for the Boomerang in the long-term. We'll keep him going because he thrives on racing. He's done nothing but improve since he came back from England. It was similar last year when he ran at Ascot and came back and won at the Curragh. We'll keep him going in those Group 3s and Group 2s but the big day is Quipco Irish Champions Weekend for him. We put the blinkers on him because the last day he ran a little bit lazily although maybe Epsom didn't suit him. He likes Leopardstown. That's the first ride Chris has had for me. Five years he's been annoying me for rides and then I give him my best horse!

Parkers Hill We always thought he was a very nice horse and he ran very well the first day,. Niall always said he'd like better ground and he'll probably go seven furlongs. He's a nice big horse who should mature well and we think he's up to stepping up. He's a very straight-forward horse, does everything pleasingly and is a nice ride in the morning. Hopefully he's on an upward curve. I haven't really looked beyond today. Today was the day really. I didn't enter him in anything big yet but there are plenty of races there. He's won his maiden now so I might just give him a little bit of time and see if he can develop into a nice horse for the end of July/August.

Lethal Power I have to give the owner (Flor Ryan) credit. I was struggling to find a mile and a quarter handicap for him and he said why don't we go for a maiden,. He's still a bit raw, Dusty said he's learning, so hopefully there is a bit more to come from him. He's a well-bred horse and it's good for him to win. He's rated 80 so I don't think the handicapper can do much to him. Hopefully he'll be able to win his handicap off that. I was looking for a mile and a quarter handicap on a nice track and couldn't find one. We'll see how he is now, there is no rush now, the pressure is off as he's won his race. I've been telling the owner he's going to win for the last three runs! . We can maybe give him a little bit of time now, as we've been hard enough on him, and see can he improve up to what I think he can be.

Shore Step I was reading the card beforehand and it said 'was a solid handicapper at one stage' so I didn't know what I was doing with him,. It just hadn't fallen right for him all year, and the last couple of years, but we've always thought he was capable of much better than he was showing. He works well at home but he just hasn't got it together on the track but he did today. His good runs in England were on good tracks so maybe he likes good tracks but it's just hard to get races for him on these better tracks. He's won now and hopefully can move up the ranks because at one stage he was rated a lot better than he is today. He's a good horse to have at home. He works with the two-year-olds and gives you a good guide on how you are getting on. Hopefully he pays his way now between now and the end of the year. I think that's a good trip for him and it looks like he gets seven. Valerie Keatley, the head girl, rides him the whole time and says he'll have no problem getting seven. He breaks quick, had got good early speed, and he toughs it out on the front rank so six is ideal.

Circling Moon We don't have him too long. Paddy rides him out himself most mornings,. He's enjoying being back on the Curragh, he served his time with John Oxx. He's getting a good kick out of it. He's a horse that he thought would win of those 0-65. Dusty was good on him today and he stayed on well. He liked the mile-and-a-half and like the good ground. He was getting stuck in the heavy ground.
