The Bog Bank recorded her second course and distance win when staying on strongly to land the Seamus Murphy Memorial Handicap at Bellewstown.

A 30-race maiden prior to winning at this track in June, the mare followed up at Dundalk the following month and has been a model of consistency since then.

Smartly away under apprentice James Ryan, the Tom McCourt-trained mare led early in the straight and kept on well to hold the late challenge of What Adaay

McCourt said:- “She's in a serious vein of form at the minute. I thought off 60 that she might be up against it, going on form she was going to be up against it.

“We'll tip away through the winter with her, she takes very little work. She was just unlucky to meet one the last day in Dundalk and they were well clear.

“James is serious value for his 7lb. He's starting to get a few more rides but I'm surprised he's not getting a few better rides because he has a great head on him and rides a very good race.”
