The Stewards interviewed Mr A.J. Fox, rider of Breeda Mulfahey, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr A.J. Fox was in breach of R10(3)(b) by using his whip when his chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone and consequently suspended him for 2 racedays having taken his good previous record into consideration. The Stewards enquired into an incident over two furlongs from the finish involving Jazz Mine, ridden by Mr D. Skehan, placed sixth and Amarillo Rose, ridden by Ms L. O'Neill, placed third, where it appeared that Jazz Mine received interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by Ms L. O'Neill riding carelessly and consequently suspended her for 1 raceday having taken her good previous record into consideration.
