McGuinness lands claimer with well-backed Is That Love
That’s his third win this year. We got a wind job done on him earlier in the year and it made a big difference to him. He had slipped down to a nice mark and got plenty of confidence winning in Dundalk. We had him away the other day leading two-year-olds and he worked real well. If someone claims him they claim him, but he was just (well) weighted there and the draw (in stall three) helped. If he was drawn out in twelve I don’t think he’d have won. I think the draw there today is a key factor and the 7lb claim helped. Cian (MacRedmond) is a good kid.
Harty's Coins Cross rattles home under Gallagher
I took a chance going for it as I think he’s more of a 7f horse, but he had a nice run (fourth to Pale Iris) in a handicap at Naas (6f) on his first run of the season. I saw this maiden and an 82 (rated) horse in a maiden, if it’s a legitimate mark, should always be the yardstick. Even though I think he’s a 7f horse, possibly even a mile, they tend to go hard here because everyone wants to get a good position. Even though it’s only five and a half furlongs it becomes a stamina test.
Herb Of Grace too spicy for her rivals
She’ll go for something similar, five (furlongs) again and keep her to 3-year-olds only if we can. She was drawn two and around here you have to make plenty of use of them. The ground suited her as well. She‘s a filly we liked last year but she disappointed us a few times, and it was debatable if we were even going to keep her as a three-year-old, to be honest, but we persevered because the half-sister (Group 3 winner Euphrasia) was very good to us. She won’t be as good as her but she’s got a bracket now and she’ll probably end up going to the December Sales.

Druk obliges for Browne and Heffernan
He's a big baby and you could, kind of, discount his last couple of races because he was at the back of the field in slow-run races and you can't do that. It's great to win for the Niarchos family. Why they give me a horse or two every year I don't know, because I'm a nobody, but they're decent people!. He should stay a bit further and he'll make a nice jumper.
Murphy and Carroll double up in Sligo
He's a nice horse. He probably has a fair bit to go before he'll be as good as his half-brother (seven-time winner Swamp Fox) but he's going the right way about it. We'll see how he handles Galway at some point.
