An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference from the final hurdle involving the dead heat winner, Alioski (GB), ridden by Isabelle Ryder, the dead heat winner, Hugueneau (FR), ridden by Harry Skelton and Nadim (IRE), placed third, ridden by Bradley Harris.
Being a 7lb claimer, Ryder was accompanied by a senior jockey.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Alioski (GB)’s placing as the interference caused by Alioski (GB) shifting right-handed resulted in Nadim (IRE) being shifted right-handed onto the quarters of Hugueneau (FR) turning them and losing momentum before running on to finish in a dead heat and revised the placings as follows: First: Hugueneau (FR); Second: Alioski (GB); Third: Nadim (IRE).
Ryder was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as she allowed her mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction interfering with Nadim (IRE) which in turn interfered with Hugueneau (FR) which became unbalanced as a result.
