Goffs will charter a dedicated flight for purchasers back to the UK following the sale of the last lot to ensure the participation of the best buyers from start to finish at Orby whilst international buyers can take in the sale en route to the Arc meeting at Longchamp.
Orby yearlings will be catalogued alphabetically over the two days and nominations are now being accepted online at www.goffs.com and by calling Goffs on 045 886600.
Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby commented:
“Every major yearling buyer of 2011 bar one attended the Orby Sale and Goffs attracted more unique buyers than any other sale. The buyers are at Goffs and they come to Ireland to compete at the highest level for the best yearlings.
"As we have proven on so many occasions with yearlings, foals and fillies out of training, we will achieve the highest prices for the best horses when they are offered at Goffs.
"Our two day format provides a truly premier sale for the best Irish yearlings that is simply unmissable for any serious international buyer just two days before the Arc meeting in France whilst we will also be able to raise the profile of the commercial yearlings on offer at our second sale."
The former third day will now be staged three weeks later on 25 and 26 October alongside the Horses In Training Sale, creating a larger sale of real quality and value that will hold great appeal for buyers at home and abroad and will be promoted by Goffs and ITM as a stand-alone event.
This new sale will give the yearlings a strong identity of their own whilst this entry fee has been slashed to assist commercial breeders.
