Minella For Steak, Minella For Party and Minella Forfitness made decent money for John Nallen at this sale last year and Boher Bloodstock (Gerry Hogan), who signed for Mount Benbulben here twelve months ago, struck at £300,000 for the Nallen 'pointer' Old Kilcash (reportedly now to race for Barry Connell & to be trained by 'Shark' Hanlon) at the 2012 renewal of Brightwells Cheltenham April Sale.

A graduate of the maiden which has produced War Of Attrition and Invictus, Old Kilcash looked smart when scoring at Horse And Jockey under 'Corky' Carroll. He is by Kilbarry Lodge Stud's half-brother to Galileo and Sea The Stars, Urban Ocean. On the dam's side, this chestnut four-year-old is from the family of Flashthecash and Vic Venturi.

Cocktails At Dawn, a faller at the last there, when headed, also sold here out of Sam Curling's yard, going for £130,000 to Highflyer Bloodstock.

Nallen's Minella Fifty, also a winner under James 'Corky' Carroll, this time at Tralee, made £150,000 when going to Jonjo O'Neill.

- One of the Cashman's impressive babies makes big money

Paul Cashman landed both divides of the youngster's maiden at Lismore with most of the talk afterwards centring on Present View's success. However Present Lodger is obviously decent as well and he made £200,000 being signed for by Tom Malone and Michael Scudamore.

- Bowe's draft attracts plenty of interest

Some of Colin Bowe's draft not surprisingly sold well with Monksgrange winner Wilton Milan going to Highflyer and Paul Nicholls for £85,000, Clondaw Kaempfer, placed in 'points' and winner of the big sales bumper at Fairyhouse, going to Donald McCain for £130,000 and Clondaw Draft, victorious at Bennettsbridge, also now bound for the McCain yard at £85,000.

- Inch horses sell well

The well-bred O'Faolain's Boy, a good winner for the Phelans and Trevor Horgan at Inch lately, made £100,000, going to Gearoid Costello.

Another Inch winner, Donnchadh Doyle's Atriptomilan went to Aiden Murphy for £190,000 whilst fellow County Wexford handler, Brian Jordan said goodbye to his recent Tramore winner, Outlawed Tunes for £140,000 to Mags O'Toole.

- Ewing on the mark again

Warren Ewing has sold some high-profile horses in recent years and his Loughanmore winner Presence Felt went to Peter Bond for £130,000.

- Willie O'Neill parts with Inch Rock

Recent Quakerstown winner Inch Rock was sold for £90,000 to Aiden Kennedy.

- Sales topper

Ronnie O'Leary's well-touted Carlisle bumper victor, Fascino Rustico was the star-turn (a record-breaker at this sale), signed for by Aiden Murphy/Paul Nicholls for £310,000. Owner John Hales was reportedly re-investing some of his Grand National winnings from Neptune Collonges.

Mr Watson, a winner at the Tullamore point-to-point and since third in the 'pointers' bumper at Fairyhouse for Myles Sunderland and owner Maurice Sheehy, went to Jonjo O'Neill for £215,000.

- 'Sharks' Liquidator goes cross-channel

The Liquidator, second in the sales bumper at Fairyhouse on his debut for John 'Shark' Hanlon (reportedly set now to handle Old Kilcash) was sold for £100,000 to prominent British owner Roger Brookhouse.
