FormscanBy Donal Murphy - Willie Mullins saddles four horses here with DOUVAN the pick. The selection hasn't come off the bridle on his two starts over hurdles to date, beating subsequent Grade 1 winner Sizing John (re-opposes here) by twelve lengths at Gowran in November. He has been favourite for this race for a long time now and anything other than a win for him will come as a surprise. His stable Shaneshill finished second in the Champion Bumper here twelve months ago before winning the Punchestown equivalent in April. He won his maiden hurdle over two and a half miles at Fairyhouse in November before being beaten into second on his last outing at Navan. He drops back in trip to two miles now and he can be expected to give a good account of himself. L'ami Serge is three from three over hurdles and he looks the best of the home team under Barry Geraghty for Nicky Henderson. Bentelimar is a progressive sort and he could be worth an each-way investment at a decent price.
